Good morning! Well, that was a weird week! I miss my 3 yr olds, but I am well and ready for a full week! While the snow comes and goes, the need for mittens continues! We will continue our mitten fun this week by sorting colors with mittens, matching shapes and sequencing numerals 1-5.
The afternoon class will also continue our mitten activities as well. Tomorrow we will explore some measuring with mittens. WE will see how many cubes, or crayons, or caps long our mittens are. We will also be practicing counting sets and making patterns. We're really starting to get the hang of patterns. We know they "go over and over and over!"
Monday is "N Day" for the afternoon class. N is for Ninja Turtle! We're working so very hard to remember to start our letters at the top. For "N" we make a big line down and jump back up, sliiiiiiiide down and straight up. Those diagonals are so tricky!
We continue to talk about the author Jan Brett and will be reading more of her stories. We're starting to understand that authors write the stories and illustrators make the pictures. When we make our own class books, we're both the authors AND the illustrators!
We have a new class book that will be circulating this week in the afternoon class-please remember to send it back after your child has had a chance to "read" it to you.
I can't wait to find out tomorrow if anyone from preschool won a theme basket-they looked amazing! I took the 4 yr olds up to put a ticket in a basket and we put tickets in baskets for the 3 year olds. Fingers crossed!
DISINFECTANT WIPES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!! thanks in advance!
Enjoy the sunny Sunday and let's have a great (healthy!) week!
