Ok, here we go-last week of school! And a crazy heat wave to boot! Wishing a Happy Father's Day to all of you Dad's!
So, this is it-I know I always say this, but I can't believe how fast the year went by. Your children have grown and matured and made so much progress-I'm very proud of them all! So, our sign up lists are looking good for Wednesday's celebrations. Miss Lisa will bring the grill for the afternoon, but I definitely need some Dads to do the grilling-please? The morning celebration is also on Wednesday and we will be here on Thursday morning if you choose to have your child attend. If not, that's fine too-just let me, and the bus driver know! thanks I'm very up in the air about walking to the playground tomorrow because of the predicted heat. We shall see-it might be cooler to just stay inside. Report cards and graded IEP's will be going home tomorrow/Tuesday and there will be summer calendars attached for those coming to my class for the summer. Afternoon students attending summer school will be upstairs in Mrs. Marchesseault's class. I just want to take a minute to thank everyone for your help and support and supplies this year. It truly does take a village. I've loved being a part of your child's journey and growth. Well, ok, then, I guess we'll call this "what the heck is going on in Preschool?" Thanks Jen for telling me-I found the missing May post, but have no idea where Sunday's went! hmmmmm
Anyway-we're getting so close to the end it's hard to believe. We're spending tons of time practicing songs for our end of year shows. Please read the blue notice that went home last week concerning the shows. Sign up sheets are outside the classroom door. In the afternoon class this week, we have begun assessing for report cards and grading IEP's. We're also reviewing all letters, numbers, rhyming, etc. We're very very busy! Thanks to the afternoon parents who have turned in their permission slips for our field trip next week. We'll be attending the school-wide barbecue first, and then boarding the bus around 12:30 to go over to Dodge's! We're soooooo excited! *******PLEASE READ******* MORNING CLASS: end of year party/show will be WEDNESDAY JUNE 20TH FROM 9:00-10:00. Even if your child doesn't normally attend school on Wednesday, I want him/her (and you!) there. We'll be there for a play day on Thursday morning for those who choose to attend, but it isn't mandatory. AFTERNOON CLASS: end of year family barbecue and show will be on WEDNESDAY JUNE 20TH FROM 12:00-2:00. I'm looking for someone who will be willing to bring a grill and cook for us-pretty please? This will be the last day for the afternoon class. I'm working on July/August calendars for ESY children (3's) and will get them home before the last day. Remember, ESY 4's will be upstairs with Mrs. Marchesseault! I'm waiting on 1 last book order to arrive-should be here any day. PLEASE if you have any questions about the end of year festivities, let me know. I don't want anyone to miss anything because they didn't get the information! thanks Robin |
