Good morning! We made it! That just might have been the hottest, hardest first week of school ever! And now the heat is on! I want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding with the bus chaos this week-I'm keeping fingers crossed that things are a little better moving forward. Please let me, or Jenn Gilliland know if things aren't going well on your end. We're working hard on this.
I was so happy to have all my 3 yr olds here for the first day of school! I hope we can do the same thing on picture day!?! WHICH BY THE WAY HAS BEEN CHANGED TO TUESDAY THE 18TH, NOT THE 19TH. I guess the picture company had a conflict or something.
We had lots of fun this week exploring the classroom, and beginning to learn some daily routines and songs. The morning class did a little yoga with Miss Jeannie on Wednesday and we sang and danced and blew bubbles with Mrs. Dana on Thursday.
The afternoon class got right to work on Wednesday with some assessing. We were getting a baseline for gross motor skills as well as fine motor, academic and language skills. We'll be finishing up on Monday.
Thursday is YELLOW DAY for both classes. On color days, we try to all dress in that color and bring something small that we can glue on to a group color collage. If your morning child doesn't attend on that specific day, he/she can bring collage materials the next day. We usually take 2 days to complete all the "color" activities.
Thanks again to everyone who brought classroom (and playground!) supplies! And thanks for being aware of your children's snacks.
Feel free to e-mail me any time with questions or concerns. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and let's have another great (less sweaty!) week!

Good morning! It was so exciting so see so many of you at the picnic last night-you were very brave to come out in that heat!
A huge thanks to all the supplies that have already arrived! For right now, I think I'm good with clorox wipes, tissues, and water bottles. One of the biggest things we still really need is play sand for the outside sandbox. If anyone wants to do that, you can just drop it over the fence next to the sandbox whenever it's convenient. That would be awesome!
Enjoy the last long weekend and I can't wait to see everyone on Tuesday! Feel free to e-mail me with any last minute questions!
