Good morning! Well the snow, no wait, sleet, no snow is coming down! Gonna be a weird day. And tomorrow......well, tomorrow is going to be brutal! ugh
How appropriate that tomorrow will be "Blue Day" for both classes? Our lips will be blue I think! As always, we'll be exploring blue with paint, collages (please see if your child can find a little something to bring in for gluing on the collage.)
Tomorrow is also "S" day for the afternoon. S is for snowman! We've been working on those curves that go to the left and they take lots and lots of practice to get them right.
The afternoon class read The Mitten by Jan Brett last week and then we read another version of the story by a different author. It was fun to talk about what was the same, and what was different about the 2 stories. This week we'll continue with some "mitten" activities and move into some more of Jan Brett's works.
The morning class will also be exploring mittens by decorating, sorting, matching, counting and painting at the easel! So much fun!
REMINDERS:
That's it for now! Stay safe and warm!
Let's have a great week!
Robin

REMINDERS:
- Thanks to everyone who sent in items for the theme baskets--and thanks to Sarah Pliakos for organizing everything. I can't wait to see the completed baskets!
- We desperately need disinfectant wipes for the classroom-please and thank you.
- AFTERNOON OUTSIDE DAY: TUESDAY
- MORNING OUTSIDE DAY: THURSDAY
- We're working very hard on managing our own outergarments--please allow your child to work on boots and shoes before you jump in and 'help".
That's it for now! Stay safe and warm!
Let's have a great week!
